I think I'll start off my first post by saying BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR its freeeeeeeezing outside. Why do I live in Chicago? I dread winter every year, and now that it's here, I know why. Yesterday our car was completely stuck in the snow & ice... after about 20 minutes Dan decided to WALK to Jewel to get some salt... they didn't have any so he walked to Walgreens which is even further. He put some salt down when he came back. Then Marcus came over which was fun! Then, Justin & Mandy and Mike Lunde came over... they left around 10:45pm... and Lunde brought a shovel to help us carve out our car! So at like 11:20 Dan came back inside (after working at the car with Lunde) and asked if I could come out & help (keep in mind that our car is about 1 1/2 blocks away). We were out there til about 12:30am. We were going to give up and then we gave it one final try and it worked. Then I took a shower because I was SO cold... my legs were bright red and were even red and cold AFTER I got out of the shower. As a result, I have a sore throat today and do not feel well at all.

Also, I just checked weather.com and they said it was only -6 degrees out yesterday. Not possible! I don't think that's counting windchill- what it "feels like". Today it says it "feels like" -19 degrees... which seems more accurate.

On a postive note... Christmas is only three days away!! We're celebrating with Dan's family tonight and going to Moline tomorrow :D
